This topic is important to me as my grandmother has the disease and I took care of her for 3 years at the beginning of her deterioration. I have become very interested in Alzheimer's as it is a strange and horrible disease.

In this paper, I will focus on what Alzheimer's Disease is, how to spot signs of it, how it is treated and delayed, and what support there is available for people living with it. Most people do not even know that they or their loved ones have this disease until it is too late to help. It is a deadly disease. Most people will live a long time once diagnosed slowly deteriorating. Patients lose the ability to eat, talk, walk and become incontinent. It is a slow and painful (more for the family than the patient) deterioration. I am hoping this research will help both myself and others to understand alzheimer's and what we can do to help.
